Stamped & Decorative Concrete
Get the high-end look of stone, brick, or tile with the durability and value of concrete.

The Beauty of Decorative Concrete
Stamped and decorative concrete gives you the upscale appearance of premium materials without the premium price tag. You can replicate the look of natural stone, brick pavers, slate, or even wood planks, all while enjoying concrete's superior durability and lower maintenance requirements. In Franklin, TN, where homeowners value both aesthetics and practicality, decorative concrete has become increasingly popular for patios, driveways, pool decks, and outdoor entertainment areas.
What makes stamped concrete particularly appealing is its versatility. You're not limited to just one pattern or color. We can create custom combinations that complement your home's architecture and existing landscape. The colors are integrated into the concrete itself, not just painted on the surface, which means they won't peel or chip away over time. With proper sealing and basic maintenance, your decorative concrete surfaces maintain their beauty for decades.
Popular Patterns and Finishes
We offer a wide range of decorative concrete options to match any design vision. Each pattern and finish serves both aesthetic and functional purposes, creating surfaces that look impressive while standing up to Tennessee weather and daily use.
Decorative Concrete Options
- Stamped patterns: Ashlar slate, random stone, European fan, cobblestone, and wood plank designs
- Integral color: Color mixed throughout the concrete for consistent, fade-resistant hues
- Color hardener: Surface application for vibrant, durable color that resists wear
- Acid staining: Translucent, variegated tones that create natural-looking depth
- Exposed aggregate: Reveal decorative stones in the mix for texture and visual interest
- Saw-cut patterns: Custom geometric designs scored into finished concrete
How Stamped Concrete Is Installed
Creating beautiful stamped concrete requires both technical skill and artistic ability. The process starts with the same solid foundation we use for all our concrete projects in Franklin: proper excavation, a compacted gravel base, and adequate reinforcement. This ensures your decorative surface won't crack or settle prematurely.
Once we pour the concrete, the decorative work begins while the concrete is still workable. We apply color hardeners or release agents, then press stamping mats into the surface to create the desired texture and pattern. This requires careful timing and experienced hands. If we wait too long, the stamps won't imprint properly. If we start too soon, the concrete will stick to the stamps. We've perfected this timing through years of experience on projects throughout Williamson County.
After stamping, we carefully remove the mats and allow the concrete to cure properly. Once cured, we clean the surface and apply a high-quality sealer that protects the color and pattern while enhancing the overall appearance. The sealer also makes the surface easier to clean and helps it resist stains from leaves, dirt, or spills. With resealing every few years, your stamped concrete continues to look fresh and well-maintained.
Maintenance and Longevity
Stamped concrete requires less maintenance than the materials it imitates. Unlike natural stone pavers that need individual replacement when they crack, or brick that can shift and create uneven surfaces, stamped concrete stays solid and level. You won't deal with weeds growing between pavers or grout lines that need constant attention. Regular sweeping, occasional washing, and resealing every 2 to 3 years keeps your decorative concrete looking its best for 20 to 30 years or longer.
